Anyone watching the Culture Show last night would have seen, in addition to John Cale with purple-tinged hair, Sting singing his new folk album with...a beard, of course. (Two of the bete noires of this forum in one hit!) So there you are: Folk=Authentic=Beards=Not Rock, but serious music, man. Heh
