Drawing a line

Postby Charlie » Mon Apr 07, 2008 10:09 am

After all the furore, which is still rolling on, I was tempted to clean all the 'offending' threads off the forum altogether.

But I've taken the less extreme measure of moving them down to Forum Decorum and Archive where I hope they can remain without further comment for a while.

This has all been extremely upsetting, depressing and time-consuming in a wasteful way, and I hope we can now get on with enjoying our music, our lives and each other.

This is great news. It would seem only fair now to invite Des back from his self-imposed exile.

Edit: sorry - and all the others we have lost too, naturally.

Welcome back welcome back welcome back - as the John Sebastian song went - to Nikki, Norm and Des. Hopefully Adam and Judith are also interested in dipping a toe in forum waters again. Forum's too big without you - to adapt a Police tune - so dive in, temperature's very pleasant right now. Sorry, enuf cliches . . .

Ok. I'm willing to let bygones be bygones, learn from my mistakes, write a new page, forget it ever happened, be nice, learn to love and cherish, seek out the good in others...

But I still say Mick Jagger's a ****....

Joke!! Joke!! It was a joke!!

I'm on holiday right now but as the governor of this part of the world has been known to observe: "I'll be back"...

Love, light and fresh orange juice to you all.

Hey Adam! Great to have you back! Maybe you can call Judith up to come back? Surely, you must be close by! I mean, it is Californ-i-a, right? How far apart can you 2 be from one another?

If you think that Fresh Orange Juice is good, you need to do yourself a favor and try some sweet fresh Mango Juice!

Adam, when you said you still thought Mick Jagger was a **** did you mean the c word, the f word, the sh word or the w word?

I knew it couldn't have been the a word as you would have prefixed it with an...

help - I'm confused...

The last word?

Word of the day. Used to prevent extended debates in parliament:
Gillett-ine.

I think Tenalady might possibly be a regular's alternate personality or anonymous pseudonym. Tenalady! Who are you?!? Where did you come from??!?!

Suffice it to say, ***** means *****, and I think we get the point. Now let Adam enjoy his Californ-i-a vacation, the orange juice it provides, and the mango juice that he should be imagining right now.

not telling Christian so there!

however, you have written *****.

that extra * leads me to believe that it can't possibly be the c word, or the w word

or the t word

or the sh word come to think of it.

what can it all mean??!!

feel an emoticon coming on - those of a nervous disposition look away now

Hey Tenalady - don't you dare dig this back up - it's safely buried and, I was hoping, forgotten.

Now, as a penance, you have to come up with a fresh topic in a new thread, that requires no asterisks

If the text is in blue, does that mean that the words are blue? As in blue and naughty style? Or blues and sad style? Or good old bluebeat from the old days on the island? Shall we have a blues dance? Riddim, riddim, bring the riddim forward, selectah! Put the needle in the groove. Rewind! Mash up the house. Forward!
