500 and counting

Postby ritchie » Mon Mar 31, 2008 9:35 pm

well here goes for my 500th post ... i had hoped to keep it for later.

No need for garlands I'm not in the mood ...the cooker has just blew up and the Max Bygrave MP3 links I got from Norman don't work either.

However the lurkers are coming out of the shadows ... thanks Kevin here's a garland for you.

twisting time is here

How anyone can twist that into a negative defies logic, really.

Well I bet Chubby Checker could have. He built a whole career on the 'twist'

Let that be a warning to any young people out there who are thinking of abusing amphetamines.

U.A.S. ukulele aquisition syndrome.

Postby ritchie » Mon Mar 31, 2008 10:19 pm

Excuse me for answering for Norman, but clearly a man cannot have too many ukuleles — assuming that the word "ukulele" is not a euphemism for something else.

And I see that I am creeping up behind you, Ritchie, in number of posts, not brandishing a ukulele, mind you, or any euphemisms, either — and this post was a totally gratuitous way to up my number by one. Perhaps, if I had a few of the Judy Garland's little helpers, I'd be whizzing past you all — or just whizzing.

I had a friend, perhaps I still do — but I haven't seen him for a while 'cos he lives a long long way away from here — who used to make ukuleles. He was utterly mad about them. How convenient! I just googled him and he was the first return. Here he is just for you, Ritchie
