I've put a tune on my MySpace page. A summary slice of Latino-reggae for the autumn months, courtesy of Easy Star All Stars / Antibalas keyboard player Ticklah.

Cheers

Apologies if this has been dealt with in an earlier post (in which case I'd be grateful for directions), but how do you get signed up as a band (with 4 music tracks) rather than as an individual (1 measly track)?

Is Samantha the one from I'm Sorry I Haven't A Clue? ;-)

well here we are ... ok I've been away from the site for a wee while but now i'm back i may as well start with a small poser.

I went to see John Hiatt the other week and he was excellent (it was an acoustic set and when he got his electric guitar out it took me all of my resolve not to shout out 'Judas')

never mind, anyway i tried to 'add' him as a 'friend' on myspace (and I'm very choosey i can tell you) but i can't do it. I keep getting rejected and what really p*ss*s me off is that I've got the complete set of Miss Marple dvd's and quite a few Detective Columbo's as well so i'm quite a lateral thinker.

Ok I'm not letting it bother me, I mean how many friends does a man want? but it's just bugging me a bit. Is anyone out here his friend already? what is the secret? what do I have to do?

Ritchie - Many moons ago in a previous existence I was a member of the John Hiatt list, Shot of Rhythm. I'm still in touch with some of people who are still on it - do you want me to ask?

Dayna - That is such a sad post, but I'm sure you are not alone.

Rob, I'm sure I owe you one or two already but that would be great thanks, there are only so many Miss marple & columbo dvd's a man can watch for clues at any one time.

The Wild West

Postby CantSleepClownsWillGetMe » Sat Nov 17, 2007 12:21 am

I see that some of you chaps have 'complained' about huge numbers of bikini-clad young women (mostly from the West Coast of America), asking for your myspace friendship. You are not alone.

A couple of months ago, as a myspace newbie, I accepted request number one - 'Chi Chi' I think her name was - believing that we had a shared interest in the music of 'El Bicho'. It was only afterwards, when this was followed by a flurry of requests from glossy-lipped Staceys, Corys and Tamsins that the penny finally dropped.

But what I don't understand is why they do this. Apart from Chi-Chi (who had a reasonable excuse, because she claimed to be pansexual [see Wikipedia]). But what about all the others? Some days I've had 6 or 7 requests, which means churning out a pile of rejections before I even start.

Anyone know the answer to this one or am I missing something glaringly obvious?

a friend in need.

Dear yokel, the time to worry is when you find out that they are your relations.

The thing that bugs me is all the stuff i get offered in my email folder which obviously does n't work I suppose myspace is just a kick in the pants away from that sometimes. akin to listening to late night phone in programmes or any phone in programmes come to think about it.

Shouldn't that be Pandasexual?

Adam said,

"I have mentioned before that I used to teach one of The Libertines and I remember going to many of their early gigs."

I found some Libertines videos on myspace.

I've just put this back on to my MySpace page, in advance of Max's live performance at Chilli Fried North at Darbucka on 7th Feb.
