That's a bit harsh don't you think?

Once bitten

Sorry Dayna, I know you do. Just another example of my strange Scottish humour!

I'd better explain: a 'pick' is a long-handled tool, used for gouging holes in asphalt. Apologies again. Maybe I should just bite down hard on the keyboard next time I have one of my urges ... :-)

June - I offer you three shovels so take your pick.

That joke's even older than me.

Sorry.

It's always interesting to learn something knew like that. I thought you were saying what I said was inappropriate somehow.

Actually, I don't even know who the other two are, but I was just trying to show my admiration for Charlie & answer the question both.

I know. But, wouldn't the punchline back then have been 'Take your flint' ...?

PS I've done it again haven't I?

It's obviously important to get the answer right.

It has to be Michael Berkeley.

For further proof just look at the list of people he's had in his bedroom.

That's a riot, Gordon!

I'm sure a bit of Photoshopping on that thinning pate would put him back in the running, and a bit more emphasis on the fact that he was one of Benjy B's choir boys could considerably extend his gender fan base.

Think I could make it as an image consultant?

Well here's one who might have, in the right light, given Mr Berkeley a run for his money. It's Mr " Help Me Make It Through The Night " Jonathan Swain

Excellent stuff Gordon. I bet you could even write a script for Reg Varney !!

I saw the light in Darkest Fife, btw.

In 1964 a cafe in Falkland had The Animals' " House Of The Rising Sun " on their jukebox ...

Or to apply Danny Baker-style percentage people arithmetic:-

86% John Travolta + 14% David Gest = Michael Berkeley
