The Band (*our* band, not THE Band of the late 70s!)

Postby c hristian » Sat Aug 25, 2007 12:26 pm

(So, I got a job offer, so now I feel that I have enough breathing room to post a topic on here at 7:18AM on a Sat.)

Here's some questions for perspective players and posers of this thing that I hope we can put together -

1) what would be the name of "the band"? (first thought that comes to me is "Charlie's Online Band" or "Charlie's Sound of the World", but maybe you've got a better name? Doesn't HAVE to have the word Charlie in it, right Charlie? He didn't put me up to it, I swear. Just seemed appropriate)

2) What would be a good cover , to cover , for our first (hopefully, not only, but first, anyway) number? Our first RELEASE (HA! Love it!)

3) What are you willing to contribute to this song project?

4) Are you willing to sign over all rights to profits and fees to me, Charlie, and to our anonymous offshore bank account? (Trick question.) (Oh , alright, you don't have to answer this one.)

i don't know why I put late 70s n the title post. habit, for some reason. when i say 70's, lately I've just been saying late 70's. probably b/c early 70's i don't have much to write about since i was born in 1972.

Christian

If we're going to do this, I really don't think the rest of the world are going to find it very fascinating, so lets take it to a Yahoo group or something.

There. Done.

Do we need a name at this stage? Speaking as someone who put a lot more effort into thinking of names for bands than I ever did into practising I know how much time can be enjoyably wasted on that kind of stuff.

A song to cover? Umm yeah. Good question.

Cheers
