Do you know how to vote in one of the Forum poll things?

Yes, of course. You'd have to be an idiot not to understand these things.

I noticed that Clowns doesn't know how to vote in a poll. Possibly there are others. Let's find out.

To clarify. On my screen, the area above your message contains only this:-

Do you know how to vote in one of the Forum poll things?
Yes, of course. You'd have to be an idiot not to understand these things. 100% [ 1 ]

Nothing else. Nothing clickable. No means of recording my views on the nature of cats, which musical instrument (the oud or the left-handed n'gogwally) best echoes the outline of a dangling bleach-boned skeleton, or on anything else for that matter. What a dilemma eh?

So. Should another, suitably interesting poll appear at some time in the future, how would you suggest I make my thoughts known - telepathically?

PS Do you know what I'm thinking now?

Clowns, if you are logged out then you can't vote in a poll. If you log in, then, hey presto, there are little crcles to the left and you can choose which one to click on.

I also feel that I need to point out that anyone who has voted 'no' is a bloody liar, or they just got lucky with their keyboard (remember, this is in the Humour section). But I suspect you knew that.

By the way, what IS a n'gogwally? I've Googled it without success. Is it a rare and desirable instrument?

PS I think I know what you're thinking. But could you give me some options to vote on?

June, that's what posters see when they've already voted (ie the results so far). So, whether you agree with the score or not, you do seem to be voting telepathically. How very strange.

Gordon Neill took a stab at
Is it a beetroot?

No. A n'gogwally (or 'n'gog' to give it its shortened tribal name) is not, in fact, a beetroot. However I can understand how the confusion may have arisen as the shape is very similar.

Interestingly, the right-handed n'gog differs from its left-handed counterpart in only two ways: 1) the toughened bark chin-strap is on the TOP rather than the bottom of the instrument, and 2) the plastic instruction sticker on the smallest (vibrato) foot pedal is printed upside down (Note: a version with an additional upside-down Braille sticker was briefly available at the turn of the century. However, after an emergency recall by the manufacturer, this saw a reduction in injuries sustained by users to an acceptable 78%)

I hope this helps.

Thanks also to Con for your advice. You are a true gentleman.

June

PS Sorry Gordon. It was the white album.
