All born on the same day - 18th June, 1942, 75 years ago
Jill Gibson (Los Angeles) - Jan Berry’s girlfriend - she sang on some Jan & Dean recordings and replaced Michelle Phillips in the Mamas & the Papas for a couple of months in 1966 - it is said that she may be heard on some tracks on their second album, although no-one seems to be able to agree about which ones (some may feature Jill with Michelle overdubbed) Jill was later one of the main photographers for the Monterey Pop Festival - fifty years ago this weekend.

The first LP he produced - “Safe as Milk” by Captain Beefheart & his Magic Band would be my choice from those he worked on, but here's an earlier single he produced - ‘Can You Please Crawl Out Your Window?’ by the Vacels (September, 1965)

Dylan's early recording of the song had recently been mistakenly issued on the initial (withdrawn) copies of ‘Positively 4th Street’; the Vacels had the first officially released version - Bob's final version was recorded in November and released as a single at the end of the year.
