I did mean at that time.

Flights today to and from Glasgow were fine and a bit higher than the wavetops

I'm not sure if you're complaining or boasting, but for all our 'Southern softie' friends here's confirmation:

While the rest of Britain has been hidden under a deep blanket of snow, we have had the best weather of all - cold admittedly but dry, very bright and the east wind had finally died down and stopped slicing through us. On the down side the moor is so dry that the annual muirburn (necessary to improve the heather for grouse and sheep) has got out of control.

I could see this when I was at Tiumpan Head doing a watch - 5 porpoises

Re: Phenomenomenonemon / optical illusion

Yesterday I stood in the town centre of Welwyn Garden City. Looking straight up Howardsgate I was able to see, with the naked eye, the constellation Opticia made up of no less than five opticians retail outlets. Nothing wrong with my proliferal vision. With the X Ray vision in the eyes in the back of my head I was able to discern two more inside the shopping mall. What a spectacle. Today I'm going back. Apparently from the John Lewis car park there is a very impressive cluster of estate agents to be seen at this time.

If you're there about midday Will, near the Howard Centre train station entrance you may well catch a rare bird: blue coat, greyish hair before she migrates south. My mum's catching the train to Kings Cross to stay with us for Easter. If you miss her, she might be on BBC2's Mumwatch tonight?
