Lucy Ward is rising star of the folk scene, leaving her mark wherever she goes with her expressive performance and infectious passion for folk music.

Lucy is a BBC Young Folk Award finalist, her voice conveys a conviction and respect to the folk songs she sings. It was a fascination with the narrative of folk songs that first attracted her into the world of folk music at the age of 14 and she is now well and truly steeped in the tradition having played support to some of the biggest traditional folk music luminaries around such as Dave Swarbrick, Tams and Coope, Mawkin:Causley, Jim Moray, Nancy Kerr and James Fagan and Seth Lakeman.

"A fantastic writer and a brilliant singer"
Frank Hennessy, BBC Radio Wales

"One of the best things I've heard in years"
Mike Harding, BBC Radio 2 Folk Show (Jun 15, 2011)

"One of the brightest stars in the current folk firmament"
Amandalynnemusic, Amandalynnemusic (Jun 07, 2011)
