Spotify vs We7

Peter Gabriel is one of the founders of We7, which is British. I haven't checked its coverage, but it does have Texas Gospel Vols 3-5, which can't be bad.

We7 works in the US! But it's a whole different concept from Spotify in that it's not peer-to-peer — as far as I can see anyway. You're not going to find all the weird and wonderful tracks apparently to be found on Spotify. And you're going to have advertising attached. The future of the music industry? Well, there's certainly a lot of competition, e.g. Pandora, and I can't quite see what We7 has to lift it above the others. For a start, the selection looked pretty slim to me on a quick look. Being able to choose your tracks and download is obviously an advantage, but is it the "killer app"? I'll believe it when I see it.
