If you happen to be in central London, the Haunch of Venison Gallery are occupying the old Museum of Mankind behind the Royal Academy. The splendid space is very well utilised by Portugese artist Joana Vasconcelos, who uses materials familiar from Portugese traditions of ceramics and textiles. However if you think that sounds cosy think again - it is witty, colourful, dreamlike and rather fabulous. And on a grand scale that suits the galleries. Even if it is all a bit Saatchi for your tastes, it is well worth going for one large room, darkened with a stunning installation.
There is also some interesting work from UK artist Polly Morgan. And it's all free. ... asconcelos
