I thought Ted was saying that biological similarity* is unimportant because race as we know it exists on a completely different, and all too obvious, level in everyday reality.

I, as a fundamentalist Teddist. interpreted Ted as saying that race as a biological concept is irrelevant compared to the way human relations are conducted in the real world, and your more liberal Teddist beliefs led you to interpret his words in a different way. I therefore apologise if I mis-interpreted Ted in the first place.

Whoever did the misinterpreting, I think we both agree with him anyway. So thankfully the Teddist tendency remains intact.
