As you know, David, but the rest of the forum's readership may not, Ben Mandelson, Lu Edmonds and Justin Adams have formed Le Trio Diabolique , whom I'm have invited to do a session on World on 3 sometime before the end of the year, ideally before their UK debut at the new Kings Place venue near Kings Cross on October 2.

Have Ben & Lu dropped the third guitarist from their current band? What happened - did Ian have a shave and spoil the image?? Don't you just know it!

As far as I know, the two trios co-exist.

Since making the earlier post, I can now confirm that the trio involving Justin will feature on my World on 3 programme date 8 September, but under a different name. It turns out somebody else has/is Le Trio Diabolique.

So I guess the way is open for you to make suggestions

As they are all skinny, this would have to be The Flab-Free Three.

Try saying that after a couple of vodkas.

Just give it time and I'm pretty confident that life will imitate art. In the meantime, how about Three Skinny Laddies?

I'm going for

"the flabless free"

I can picture the posters already, as they stand next to bicycles wearing lycra tops and shorts, holding their instruments of course.

regards

Ritchie 'the fat boy' (I'm thinking of taking up cycling to try and lose some weight ... I'll start by cycling to the pub)

Very good, Con

I didn't want to give the game away, but the one name Ben already suggested was Les Trioboliques

The Beer Guzzlin' Harpies....not implying anything, but I think it would make a good name.

I was going to suggest the Broke Back Mountain Boys - (because of the ages of the members) - as some went under the name the Tension Mounting Boys, or something like that!

I like that suggestion.

I think the Tension Mountain Boys did a session for Charlie which I missed Goldurn it! Is it archived anywhere?
