Thank you, Charlie. It is most helpful to have the playlist.

What's wrong with latest show???

I am listening to it right now with "Listen-again" option and it seems that playlists (on Radio 3 page) are completely wrong ! :o

I have started a new Yahoo! Group for Mary Ann Kennedy and her Global Gathering Show. To join go to the following address:

http://launch.groups.yahoo.com/group/Mary_Ann_Kennedy/

Mary Ann is a lovely person and like Charlie she looks after the fans.

I promise it's very simple to use so come and join me and let's get deeper into the music.

Here's something by way of a new year's gift to all Charlie Gillett fans:

You'll notice that Mary Ann is playing the harp.

Forgive me but I'm not familiar with Facebook. I have been a member of or running Yahoo! Groups for several years now. Perhaps you could explain your preference for Facebook.

It is a social network and you can create groups and invite people to the groups, post videos, pictures and links and email the group (sparingly) and there is a bulletin board which anyone can post things on. You can also create events linked with the group and invite the members. It's the way forward!

It is a bit different in that you cant email the group unless you are the administrator. So it depends what you want from the group I suppose.

I would suggest a soundoftheworld/CG appreciation group as well but we are here so seems a bit unnecessary!

Yes, thanks for the thought Jill, but let's keep things simple.

I still have my doubts about Facebook, which was beginning to get very irritating - so many postings on funwalls and who knows what. But then I realised I could remove the funwall and check 'no' against almost all the types of message and other 'pokes' and stuff, and now my life is peaceful again. Basically, for me Facebook is a way for people to contact me who don't have my email address. I don't need all the other distractions.

Whereas I still find MySpace fine, although I haven't had time to do much with it for a while.

Oops, this is a Mary Ann K thread.

I'll leave straight away.

You really have to watch what Facebook is getting up to, with it accessing and using information about your online purchases from other sites. A lot of the fun things you can join (like movie quizzes) insist that you agree to share your information, and people usually tick without reading through. Anyway, your choice, but be aware.

A recent article in The Guardian's IT section explains http://tinyurl.com/2goaur

Love and peace for 2008. Now back to Mary Ann.

You can do no wrong in my eyes. Great pertinent questions, a wealth of experience as both musician and broadcaster to boot. Just what our 'industry' needs, thankyou. (cheque in the post ?)
