Hi Charlie,

I listened to your shows/youtube films of your trips to Istanbul and love the music you discovered there. I have been doing some discoveries of Turkish (and beyond) sounds in my own Melbourne neighbourhood (with a high Turkish, Lebanese and Greek population) Brunswick, and subsequently produced this mixtape with the music i dug up:

I have also started hosting a monthly event in Melbourne called OTTOMANIC, and this month we are hosting the launch party for Doublemoon Remixed Vol 2.

As a musician I produce cumbia music with The Cumbia Cosmonauts (www.myspace.com/cumbiacosmonauts). We recently did a remix for Radiokijada, amongst others. This summer I'm touring around Europe DJing mostly contemporary cumbia.
