You could try a slightly different thread, something that might have the same effect without stepping on the fRoots forum's toes, a thread like, "What song are you listening to at the moment?" or "Name a song, musician or album from this country and please say something about it," with each poster finishing their post by naming a country, like this --

First poster: Angola.

Second poster: Bonga, and Mona ki ngi Xica. They say something about the song or the musician.


Third poster: Fragile Beauty. They point out that they saw it mentioned in fRoots, or that they bought it on impulse in a shop yesterday because they liked the cover, etc, they agree that the two musicians are based in Paris but argue that there is something ineffably Vietnamese about the singing, so this counts as 'Vietnam.' The argument is wise and convinces everybody.
