hidden members

how in heck do you become a "hidden member" ?

you are either signed in and are a registered name, or you are not and are put down as a guest, and that's it , no?

what is this hidden member thing?
maybe it should be made more obvious and less hidden.

The software will show "0 hidden members" even if the hiding "feature" has been disabled, which I think is the case on here. If Charlie hasn't already disabled it, I agree with you and urge him to turn it off.
