Apologies for the recent loss of service. The reasons why it happened are complicated, but we have Marc at Mondomix to thank for getting us up and running again. I for one missed this forum greatly while it was off air.

Woo, and indeed, hoo.

I am so glad. Being of the cultural persuasion I am, I immediately assumed that it was all gone forever. Vaporised, as though it had never been.

I have rarely been so happy to be wrong!

Thanks for getting it back Rob.

I refer you all, my good friends, to the last post I put up prior to the big bang, which you may have missed - Get a listen if you can to the ailing Wilko Johnson on last week's BBC Radio 4's "Front Row." Use "Listen Again" feature. Had me in tears.

Well done you intrepid trouble shooters.

Normal service resumes, as BBC TV in the 50s would announce.

Many thanks to Marc and all involved in bringing it back. Very weird when it disappeared.

It's good to see how much genuine interest and support there is, it's really touching. There is a big archive here, one way or another, of facts, information, opinions, and memories - they're all invaluable. FBook is no real substitute - conversations are usually fleeting, hard to find again, and near impossible to notate in a meaningful way. And SOTW is not here to place sponsored ads on postings, recommend purchases, or note down our personal details for crap marketing. FBook makes massive profits. SOTW makes even bigger profits - non-financial ones that we share amongst ourselves.
