Perhaps What's Going On, could be changed to London Gigs and Archives On Mondomix could become Mondomix Archives. That would free up some space for Listsener Forum.

I, for one, like that term because it relates to the people that would visit the site. They arrive and go..."hey, I'm a listener! What's all this about?"

Agree with all this except that What's Going On covers more than just gigs in London. Is there a contractual reason for mentioning Mondomix? Can't that just say Archived Shows?

I am going to be unbelievably pedantic here, but could you stick the plural on to forum and call it forums, to indicate the range and diversity of the various boards?

Even better why don't you create a new 'box' under Forthcoming shows with the title of Forums then a brief description of what's available and and an encouragement to join in debates?

If you were to do that, you run the risk of someone even more pedantically pointing out that the plural of forum is "fora"; it wouldn't be me, of course, but it could happen.

Thanks, Rob for outpedanting me. Presumably, then, only yourself and the occasional passing Roman legionnaire will know what it means. That'll bring them in. Why don't we go the whole hog and make the fora in Latin only? Then we can preserve the arcane mysteries of our little brotherhood. I must remember, when describing a group to say: X on guitar, Y on bass and Z on dra

Boystown

Postby Adam Blake » Fri Dec 09, 2005 2:11 am

I've been reading this thread with interest. Actually I stopped contributing regularly a while back, not because I was afraid of being attacked, but because I found it quite addictive and therefore time-consuming. But Garth has got me back into it by brandishing Nik Cohn books and, yes, I'm addicted all over again and, yes, it is time consuming but GREAT FUN.
It's nice to chew the fat with fellow music lovers but (gulp!) are we all guys? Are there any girls out there who have an opinion? Or have they all got infinitely more important things to do?

Oh by the way, if I've been guilty of terseness or rudeness in the past, I thought that went with the territory. I certainly don't take it personally when it's dished out to me!

Couldn't agree more.

No, you're not.
And I used to ask myself is there is anyone else here (except Tom and me)who doesn't live in UK.

Thank you! As for the UK, I've just been having a nice chat about reggae and marijuana etc on another thread with a bloke who I believe is in Rotterdam...

So what's the consensus?

Is it going to change?
