Smile a bit more with this JB Lenoir footage, I think from the Scorsese blues film: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9jxDtpwx ... ed&search=

There are some other YouTube links for JB Lenoir, not much, but enough to realise what a talent he had. Was he the most politically-motivated blues singer? Has he been written about much, or even at all?

I saw this film, Soul of a Man, late one night on public tv. It was directed by Wim Wenders. The director had heard John Mahall's version of "The Death of J.B. Lenoir" and wanted to know who this man was.

Nick Cave is in the film. It's the only time I've seen him perform.
