Jorge Ben - Umbabaraumà

Here's a funky bit of Brazilian groove, a recent (2010) recording of an older song by Jorge Ben.

It has been mentioned here on the Forum, back in 2006 when Charlie was putting together tracks to celebrate the World Cup. Umbabaraumà apparently is a Brazilian term that describes the way a footballer dribbles the ball past his opponents.

(That guitar riff sounds so familiar. Can someone here tell me where else I might have heard it ?)

I can't think of it at the moment, David. But I will stray off topic slightly as your post reminded me of another song that Jorge Ben "Taj Mahal" recorded, and another tune by Bobby Womack "(If You Want My Love) Put Something Down On It" that may have inspired a certain hit by Rod Stewart.
