Rozetta Johnson (aka Roszetta or Rosetta Johnson) - born 11th June, 1942 (Tuscaloosa, Alabama) [died 24th March, 2011]

I was listening just now to the Rozetta Johnson compilation Kent/Ace Records issued last year and just happened to notice from the booklet that today would have been her birthday - which naturally prompted this posting ...

Previously included on a few other compilations including the third volume of Dave Godin’s Deep Soul Treasures - described by Dave as a "wonderful didactic sermonette". And it also appears to have attracted the attention of some samplers
