In colour but silent footage only; those of a certain age may wish to see how many acts they can identify before the list of artists from the programme appears at 4:50

I've told the story before, I'm sure, but here it is again.

NME Pollwinners' Concert: 1965. Live on TV. Donovan makes his appearance. My mother looks up from her newspaper. "What's this you're watching? Opportunity Knocks?"

I am of a certain age and I did very badly....could be the eyesight, the small screen and the fuzzy picture, but I thought I'd have done better than Don Partridge, The Moody Blues and Lulu.

Not the Moody Blues; the acts seen were I think - Status Quo; Don Partridge; Love Affair; The Association; The Paper Dolls; Lulu; Cliff Richard & the Shadows; The Herd; The Tremeloes; Dusty Springfield; The Rolling Stones (w. Brian)

The Show Stoppers; Amen Corner; The Move; Scott Walker; Dave Dee, Dozy & co. also appeared on the show but do not seem to have been filmed
