The DVD seems to be readily available (in France anyway), but there has also been a soundtrack album available but now becoming a coveted item, judging from the asking prices of the few copies available.

Gorgeous. Thanks, Kas. While listening, I remembered how much I enjoyed my 'Descarga Oriental' with Maurice El Median & Roberto Rodriguez - though I don't know if what they play is Chaabi or not. I need to pull that cd out again.

Oh, him! Yes, Maurice El Médioni was very much a part of the chaabi scene flourishing mostly, I believe, in Oran, Algeria. He played with many of the musicians later to reconvene as Orchestra El Gusto.
