Footnote fashion/music query - did this song's mention of a "halter top" pre-date or follow Althea & Donna's evocation of the same garment in 'Uptown Top Ranking' ??

Althia & Donna (1977) pre-dated 'Get Down' (1978); but A&D sang about a "halter back" - is that the same as a halter top? And can seeing the latter give you heart attack?

I'd always assumed they're the same but maybe I am missing a sartorial nuance!
