Kris Kristofferson (22nd June Birthday)

Kristoffer Kristian Kristofferson - born 22nd June, 1936 (Brownsville, Texas) - he first recorded in the UK as "Kris Carson" in 1959/60 when Larry Parnes had him signed to Top Rank Records, but the results remained unreleased.

OK, so he was completely outclassed by James Coburn but there's no shame in that. He in turn completely outclassed that funny looking guy with the big nose who played Alias.

Not an original thought, but what a set of initials to have been landed with. Fortunately, he is very much on the side of the Good.

My favourite film I've seen him in is John Sayles's "Lone Star".
