A friend sent me this, knowing how fond I am of Traffic. I wasn't going to post it here but then I thought, why not? It's a very adventurous, if incomplete, version of the song. The note choices of Steve Winwood on the piano and Chris Wood on sax are hardly mainstream. It may not be as cosmic as Coltrane and McCoy Tyner but it has its own flavour and stands up very well, I think, as a curio occupying musical territory that can't quite be labelled:
