Winford Lindsey Stewart - born 7th June, 1934 (Morrisville, Missouri) [died 17th July, 1985]

Pioneer of the Bakersfield Sound; he influenced both Buck Owens & Merle Haggard - Merle played bass in his band during 1962/3 and had his first hit with a song written by Wyn.

Two of his hits performed on Buck Owens' TV show, backed by the Buckaroos -
