Bobby Bare - 'Detroit City' - song written by Mel with Danny Dill; also recorded by Joe Tex and by Solomon Burke. UK hit for Tom Jones.

‘Goodbye Wheeling’ - appearing on the Opry ca 1967

‘I Could Have Gone Right’ ("just as easy as I went wrong") - a song that Merle Haggard would cover on his “Mama Tried” LP

‘Stick with me Baby’ - Mel’s song, recorded by the Everly Brothers in 1960 and included on their second LP for Warner Bros "A Date with the Everly Brothers" (also issued on the B-side of 'Temptation')

It was reported at the beginning of the year that Mel had been able to return home from hospital after spending all of 2016 "under constant care" ... l-prayers/ ... nav-entity
