Mitty Lene Collier - born 21st June, 1941 (Birmingham, Alabama)

Two from "The!!!! Beat" in 1966.

'I had a talk with my man' (lip-synch to 1964 record) -

introduced by Bill "Hoss" Allen. Yes he did like a drink.

'My Party' (singing live, backed by Otis Redding's touring band). "Hoss" was "too intoxicated" for the final show in the series

The first Mitty Collier track I heard thanks to a budget (14/6d) Marble Arch LP.

She returned to gospel in 1972 and is now a pastor in Chicago (although at some churches as a woman she is not allowed to preach from the pulpit.)

Thanks for that John. I've been a fan since her 'hit ' version. Good to hear her in fine voice.
