Sometimes throwaway English pop from the 60s is the only thing that makes any sense to me. Oh dear... They're coming to take me away (ha ha!)...

A cover version of a song from an obscure American film, "You Are What You Eat". Has anyone here ever seen it?

I liked Manfred Mann. The one I know best by them was Blinded By The Light.

There's some mention of this movie in Barney Hoskyn's book about the Woodstock musician crowd, "Small Town Talk". In fact, I'm sure there was the first version of "Jack", by John Simon, on one of those CBS Rock Machine low-price sampler LPs. And all I can remember of that is 'Super Spade' is sung, later turned to 'Superman' by The Manfreds, as in 'And here comes Superman who really puts it on'.

God, I got quite bored even writing all that. I wonder if the movie is worse.
