I’ve never been into the idea of “football as cultureâ€

There I was, swinging my TJ Dukla Praha lanyard right through the programme. It is my only concession to the commercialism borne of the Biscuit song. There is enough ugliness and tat in this world as it is.

Advice for purists: the Dukla Prague strip is available only in home colours and we could find it only at an official supporters' shop. It bears a spooky resemblance to Arsenal's centenary kit . Don't bother searching for the shirt on the main tourist drags as most of the shop assistants have never heard of the of the club or its demise. If you think this schmutter will make pale, overweight, middle-aged blokes look nang at the next barbie whilst clutching their luke-warm Budvars forgeddit.

And about that programme about football - get in there quick before the Zimm.
