Chris Barber the other week..........now the opportunity for yet more jazz, as I tug on your sleeve Charlie and remind you not to leave home next saturday without your Chris MacGregor / Brotherhood of Breath cds, some of which Joe produced. I might suggest "The Bride" or better still the ravishing "Davashe's Dream", and there's a Nick Drake track "Poor Boy" on which Chris contributed some great piano.

That's an interesting bit of information, thanks Will. I've only started listening to Nick Drake the last couple of years after hearing covers of his songs by pianist Brad Meldhau ("if it's good enough for him...." being the yard-stick).

Joe Boyd always reminds me of the Woody Allen film Zelig: whatever happened, he was there.

My copy of Bryter Later credits Chris McGregor on piano on that track, so I think you can stop panicking Will.
