BBC London: What's Going On?

Sorry, this is nothing to do with the Saturday night show, but a general item about BBC London.

I'm not sure how many of you listen to BBC London during the daytime (or much of the evening) on a regular basis. Apart from Robert Elms (preferably when he's not in his Cockney-overdrive mode) and Danny Baker, who has now thankfully returned, I've pretty much given up.

The Breakfast show, with JoAnne Goode, was road crash radio: you want to look away in horror but can't. One recent highlight was when she mentioned that another show would feature an item on Afro-Caribbean patios. "I think you'll find that's patois, Jo", her co-presenter kindly suggested. Radio 4 has never sounded sweeter.

Anyone who's concerned about this great level of London public broadcasting - with its emphasis on phone-ins, texts, trivia, celebs and footballfootballfootball - might feel inclined to check out another site: which also has a related discussion forum. Like me, you might like to make the occasional contribution.
