Happy Christmas Everybody.

A nice professionally illustrated Christmas card was popped through our door the other day. It featured a seasonal story-board cartoon. It came from "Hannah and Steve" our young friends from a few doors down. We had learned that Steve made his living as an illustrator but have only this week discovered that he is none other than Steve Collins who has a regular cartoon in the Saturday edition of The Guardian magazine.
Sure, I'm only putting this here to say I know a successful cartoonist that I'd like you to like and support but frankly if I really wanted to bask in the reflected glory of the celebrities that live in this village I'd point to Max from Eastenders who lives at the bottom of my garden, or perhaps the still bubble-permed former member of the Guys and Dolls pop group, or I might allude to the ex-Spurs manager who helps out in the local shop but I ain't gonna, any more than I'm gonna mention that Kim Wilde and Lewis Hamilton grew up here.

and a belated Happy Christmas to you all ...,

I'd just also like to add that I live near some 'famous' people ... in fact, in the next cell to mine, you might be surprised to learn that ..... perhaps this is n't the place to 'post' this type of info.

in the meantime all the very best for 2012.
