In one of his last interviews John Lennon was asked what he thought of Paul McCartney's guitar playing on "Blackbird": "Oh yeah, he's good at all that stuff. So is John Denver."

IT's interesting that people call John Denver folk music, & another one is Gordon Lightfoot. Is it? I've never liked John Denver, but I liked a couple things by Gordon Lightfoot.

A friend I used to know from India told me once that John Denver was very popular there.
