Bill Ayers and Re educating Americans

This is Obama's freind talking about putting anyone that doesn't agree into camps and killing some that disagree with their philosophy. Sound familiar? So many want to use race as an excuse for not liking him, but this is the real reason. He scares a lot of people.
I've actually had dreams of things happening in the future that are very similar to some Sci-Fi films I've seen.

What happened in the housing crisis during Bush's presidency, was terrible. We still ask why did Bush just let it go so long. But it was the product of ACORN who was run by Obama.

That is a second-hand 'report', filmed in the early 80s, with somebody talking retrospectively about things that happened twenty years previously. No idea what it has to do with today.

Putting it on YouTube in the current climate is scare-mongering.

Thank you, Andy, for that factual and sober response. I didn't trust myself to say anything.

Dayna keeps posting extremist Tea Party propaganda on Facebook. It's sad that such a good natured individual willfully swallows and believes the evil propaganda American Nazis pump out. Dayna, I don't want to un-friend you but if you keep posting stuff I will. You never ever post from a liberal left perspective, instead always offering extremist lies. Either wake up or go play elsewhere.

I don't want to loose you for a freind, but you guys post what you beleive in. I think I should be able to give my point of views of these things too on Facebook at least. And I did post something here the other day, that was showing how either side can be extreme, and that the infomation I get does not all come from Fox. Don't ever equate me with a Nazi, who I would fight with everything I can against.

"A departure from principle becomes a precedent for a second; that second for a third; and so on, till the bulk of society is reduced to mere automatons of misery, to have no sensibilities left but for sinning and suffering... And the fore horse of this frightful team is public debt. Taxation follows that, and in its train wretchedness and oppression."
- Thomas Jefferson

Besides this is most of what I've been posting on there. Quotes from our Forefathers. There isn't anything extreme about those. This video here may be a little extreme. I don't know all the details behind it. But I've heard about Obama's association with this guy before.
You guys have a right to say what you want to or beleive in and all I've done is try refuting it. If you don't like that, it's up to you what you want to do. I thought it was nice having a dialogue about it. I'm not going to keep quiet about it, at least on Facebook.

Garth - that's not your call to make. Dayna is entitled to the same rights as anyone else on this forum. If we don't agree with her, we can ignore her, argue with her or agree to differ with her.

Dayna - I do hope you see that what Andy said above is correct: this is an old clip, which is in itself discussing events from many years ago. It has no bearing on the current situation and is merely being used to stir up fear and mistrust. You have to ask yourself: why would someone do that? What do they stand to gain?

Where you live in Ohio I daresay that there are not many very wealthy people. It is possible to be unaware of the sheer size of the gap between the wealthy and the poor in the US - which is, I believe, the largest in the Western world. Why should people like you, people like your brother, people like my partner in N.California pay through the nose for the follies of the banks and the Bush administration? When hedge fund managers, Wall Street traders and the arms dealers who profit from the Iraq and Afghanistan wars live in greater luxury than any Plutocratic class has ever lived in the USA. Many of these people are the very same people who brought the economy to its knees and who were then bailed out with taxpayers money. Spreading fear about people Obama once knew who might have once belonged to extremist organisations is a distraction from the very real questions.

I promise I won't try to engage you on politics any more, Dayna. Please do me (and the forum) the same favour.

I understand. I've mentioned that with my other freinds on Facebook that we all should not have to be punished for the things people in Washington did to destroy our economy. It's what's happening.

I won't talk about politics on here if you don't want. It is better not to in mixed company, I guess. I still like putting these old quotes on Facebook from forefathers up sometimes. I hope Garth will not be bothered by that.

Oh I'm going away for a few days anyway to babysit my mom's cat. It's good to get away....

I feel compelled to point out that if there is any group of people apparently utterly intent on ruining the United States of America it is the Tea Pot Party and their inane and insane anti-taxation crusade. They are simply not numerate or financially literate and have no concept about how to nurture a decent society besides also being simply a front for extremely large corporations and the excessively wealthy individuals behind them. Their effect on American politics is becoming disastrous.

It's all very well to quote "our forefathers" but in their day there was a debate, relatively civilized, between the various points of view some of which have survived the test of time and some of which have become outmoded. Just because Jefferson said something 250 years ago in between bouts of bonking his slaves does not make it right or true today.

I expect the average cat is more intelligent than the average supporter of the Tea Pot Party.
