Blues musician Paul Pena goes to Tuva & immerses himself in their music. Unmissable

this has had over 10,000 views, but is surely breaching copyright, so could get taken down at some point

Only noticed this link and watched the video yesterday. "Unmissable" is exactly right Chris but I wouldn't of realised that until after seeing and hearing it, having never heard of Paul Pena.
But what a great blues singer/player he, alas, was. Right up my street. And what a trooper. I'm boggled that his name isn't more widely known.

The film is chock full of great characters, scenes and events that will probably never leave me. An emotional roller coaster for sure but I also learned a lot too regarding singing styles,
techniques and how they affect the quality/feeling of a song.

Thoroughly recommended viewing, not least for the last song he sings; You gotta Move. ach! here's a link..

Aye, that's lovely.
The film itself (Genghis Blues) is very moving (no pun meant on the song title above), almost unbearably so at times, I still haven't quite made it to the end.
Thanks for posting Willy - good on ya!

Great film, no doubt. Until I saw it I wasn't familiar with Paul Pena despite many years of living in his vicinity and following local music to at least some degree. I have the soundtrack, recall it as worthwhile — distinctive, although it is currently buried in the abomination of my collection deep in the bowels of the garage.
