With Charlie's surname mis-spelled. Mind you, that's not the only typo in the piece.

Nothing by Burroughs, W. After all those photos of them shmoozing together and his professed use of the cut-up technique.

Well who here's going first with their list ? Maybe a representative top ten? A chance for us to show of how well rounded and intellectual we all are. No bullshitting now though. Me? i'm not sure I've read ten but I'll get back you on that.

Geoffrey Marsh, the V&A exhibition co-curator . . . said: “The idea that he sits down and reads every book cover to cover, I don’t think that’s what he does. I think he’s more interested in ideas – and what he’s really interested in is how he can rework those ideas. He is the ultimate postmodernist, sampling stuff even before postmodernism arrived. I don’t think it’s a direct connection to him. It’s much more complicated.”

I read bits of books and then give up, too.

1. Groupie by Jenny Fabian
2. Diary of a Rock'n'roll Star by Ian Hunter
3. I'm With The Band by Pamela des Barres
4. Starlust by Fred and Judy Vermorel
5. Portnoy's Complaint by Philip Roth

um...is that 100 yet?

(I have actually read all those as well, but perhaps not very recently - except for No.4 which I remember discussing here.)
