Did anybody else watch this morning's one on Athena? Strangely lightweight and unsatisfying and not, I think, playing to her strengths. The Kate Rusby one last week was far more of a feast (I missed the Seth Lakeman at the front of the series). However, high hopes remain for next Sunday's final one on Eliza Carthy.

I would agree, though the filming and sound quality was extremely good like the rest of the series, especially the part shot in Greece. I expected there to be more about the Greek elements and influences in her music, I remember her crediting people like Eleni Vitali and Manos Achalinotopoulos in the past but the whole programme was very self-centred. Surely no artist appears fully formed on the concert stage with no route there? The section where she explained the science of songwriting was engaging though.
