TED (Technology, Entertainment, Design) is a site that posts "Inspired talks by the world's greatest thinkers and doers"

It does have a strong US bias - they don't seem to have snagged Melvyn Bragg yet, but the one talk I've watched so far is a highly entertaining one by Isabel Allende. It has a few musical clips as well, including this by a lady who I believe once danced with Charlie Gillett.
