Some kind soul (Jon Philibert) has tipped me off that Radio 6 will be re-broadcasting some of Charlie's old programmes soon. I don't think the links are active yet, but please see below. Will try to update.

http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b00t1q51 (Sun Records of Memphis, Tennessee)

http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b00t4qyf (New Orleans)

Apologies, if someone else has already posted this information.

Thanks for giving us an advanced "heads-up". Will definitely be tuning in to whatever they broadcast.

Haven't heard the name Jon Philibert for many a long decade, he used to write for Soul Music Monthly & Shout magazines, as did CG.

It looks like they're being broadcast at 04:00 am on Saturday mornings. Still, we can always catch them (UK only, I think) using the 'Listen Again' facility.

Radio programmes are available on the BBC iplayer to listen to again wherever you are in the world. Normally only stay available for 7 days after the broadcast date.

Programs are now available for 4 weeks. I think that applies to all programs, certainly Cerys and Iggy on 6. And they can be heard even here in the Far East.

Many programmes (including these) are presently only available for seven days after broadcast following the problems a few weekends ago when the i-Player went into meltdown.
