A particularly touching episode of Soul Music on Radio 4

After hearing it over the years sung by various male voice choirs, it's a revelation to hear Cerys Matthews doing it solo.Wikipedia pointed me to this rendition by John Cale - a latecomer to the Welsh language, but it's quite sweet.

It is one of those songs that raises the hairs on the back of my neck but feel dejected that I continue to fall for the Welsh sentimentality... but that I suppose is what John Parry intended. Thanks for pointing out the John Cale rendition.

How green was my father?
