Aside from watching out for the fuzz, there are some real undiscovered (by me, at least) gems in this list, Ted. I'm still working through it, but so far, I particularly like Wonder Drug by Carl Butler and If I Had Wheels by Skeeter Davis (unfairly described by the poster as "a very annoying song"), both displaying country's knack with the extended metaphor as well as the fuzz box.

Yeah, I thought it was a great page, not just for the subject matter, but because it pointed to some new avenues for exploration. It also showed off some quite subtle use of fuzz effects, or if not subtle, certainly different to rock usage.
