Just to let people know, one can get on DJ Ritu's mailing list and receive an email when her Cloud shows come up, as I did today. I'm sorry, but I can't remember how I accessed that feature.

Thank you, Ritu. I'm listening now to a World in London's first episode on SOAS Radio. As soon as I heard the beautiful duduk which followed your percussion intro (which always sounds to me much like the much loved West African rhythm 'Kuku') I was into the show. Now, it's finished and I'm looking forward to listening each week. Streaming or live, it's radio and perhaps because radio, including shortwave, was my main access to music throughout my life, I still favor it even though nowadays how something is transmitted is a vague distinction. Now, I can continue to enjoy your show, your selection of sounds. And hey, anybody who plays Errol Linton, and in particular, straight after the voices of Marerew has got 'Ears' in my book!

If anyone else has difficulties accessing the radio program (or whatever reason, and either my or my computer's inadequacy could count) through Ritu's site, I cut and pasted the following to get to the show, http://soasradio.org/awil . I also found the playlist by linking on Ritu's photo on the Soas site. http://soasradio.org/content/world-london-episode-1

[For those who are outside the UK and are also unfamiliar with SOAS Radio, here is a description from their home site: /www.soas.ac.uk/students/radio/ ]

So good I listened twice. Thanks Ritu, it's great to have AWIL back in a regular spot. I particularly liked Husnu Senlendirici & Trio Chios track, I must hunt down the album.

Easy to do, it's downloading now, and automatically each episode.

NB - not to be confused with DJ Ritual :)

Thank you Norman!
The option to 'subscribe' to AWIL on iTunes is so easy. I wonder who DJ Ritual is though?!
The new show will go online today, here's the link:
