A World in London Dedicated to Charlie Gillett

Postby Jamie Renton » Fri Mar 19, 2010 10:30 pm

I'll be one of the guests on DJ Ritu's World in London programme tomorrow night 8 - 10, which is going to be a special tribute to Charlie. Please listen in if you can (BBC London 94.9 or I assume that it'll be on the BBC i-player for the next week) I kind of feel like I'll be representing this forum, if that doesn't sound too poncy.

Not poncy at all. Very nice really. I'll do the ListenAgain thing if I can't make it work live via the i-net.

I'll be listening live, Jamie. I hope you somehow all manage to have some kind of a good time.

I thought I had it on right now. Seems like the right time. But this is a bloke DJ, Gary Crowley, I think he introduced himself as — and that's what the website has him as — but he just mentioned Charlie. Then he played your favourite, Dayna, a Gorillaz track. All a bit cheerful and lively by northwestern standards and my personal mood at this moment.

I think perhaps some disparity in daylight savings times has changed my usual 8 hour difference from London.

I'm at

http://www.bbc.co.uk/london/programmes/schedules

and then clicking the Listen Live button towards the upper left.

As far as I can tell the DJ Ritu show is not broadcast yet. Maybe about 10 minutes from now.

Listening live to London radio from an island north of Seattle — amazing!

Your link is correct to listen to last week's show by DJ Ritu for 2 more hours. Then, from the same link, you'll be able to listen again to this week's show with Jamie, etc.

And at the same time!!!

And we'll know what the London news and travel is like and where the traffic jams are — very useful!
