so does this mean i frantically scan all shortwave frequencies that I can at 2:30pm my time (eastern daylight savings time in the US) on a Saturday?

I will if that's what this means. I never seem to quite get the translation of this kind of info, or maybe I do, but I never have it in mind to use, so I don't know if I did or not. Please decipher. you know, I am still part of the internet generation, but I DO enjoy my shortwave! (or at least, I used to, once upon a time, no so very long ago.) Thanks, C

Thanks so much for the new World Service timings so that Saturday afternoon we (So India) get Charlie Gillet's weekly show at 4pm the TOP at 4:30, followed by Newshour at 5:30.

Mind you, people in India work 6 days a week (ie: on Saturdays), but at least the shortwave reception is good at that time of the day, so great to have music!

Bandwidth is very limited, so shortwave is still a good thing here - though, we get more and more interference from Chinese stations....and by 7:30 reception ends!

Sorry Christian, I don't have any notion of when or where the programme is broadcast in the US, but from the many responses there are obviously plenty of listeners.

You may have to consult the BBC World Service website to get an exact timing for the broadcasts where you live.
