Gotta be Jonathan this week for 'Pulchritudinous'.

AND a late entry for Norman's 'list' gag.

Well done chaps.

(Judith is a default fave forumista so I do not include her here).

Some funny contributions this week. My top 3 are:

Dominic for the Sparks gag
Adam for favouring Elvis's version of Little Sister
Norman for his one-card trick.

Most unpopular forumista?

The man who keep changing his name.

I'm getting private messages from people who can barely suppress their irritation but who don't want to come out in public and be called spoil sports.

Whoever you are, man with many names, you have succeeded if your aim is to (a) draw attention to yourself with every change, (b) be dismissed as an immature pre-teen who expects everybody to indulge him.

Grow up, is the common theme of the messages.

If they really had a problem with it I'm sure they would say. Most people have been ok about it.

As many may recall, I have had my differences with The Man On His Way To Chipping Sodbury and have not been shy about airing them publicly. However, after an admittedly shaky start to the idea, I find his nom du jour act mostly amusing, sometimes very amusing. He's polished it like a true professional. There are days I check in just to see what he's come up with. We all know who he is, as long as his Chipping Sodbury tag is there anyway! Now, if he were to change that to Wotton-under-edge or something, we'd obviously have a problem. No ideas now, Man Whatever Your Name Is Today!

Ain't diversity grand! Let us see the view from many different hills. Even the hill above Wotton and its edge.

PS I am a fan of Peter Pan, so suggestions about growing up never cut it with me. Get old? What a bad idea!

But you wouldn't know if they told you via PM since you don't appear to reading your PMs, at least not the two I have sent you complimenting you on aspects of your name act.

And, as Charlie, said people don't want to be seen as spoilsports for coming out in public. Neither, I suspect, would they want to be caught in a public argument about something that really is quite trivial in the grand scheme of Forum things. And, in this particular case, the desire for discretion and calm on their part is OK with me.

However, the whole idea of the Forumistas of the Week thread, the nominations and determination of who is and isn't, the ranking, etc. by one who knows how to fan the flames of a fight is, to say the least, provocative. Hell, if you hadn't nominated me a couple of times, I'd be furious.

it's worth remembering that (I suspect) even though Charlie's general modus operandi is live and let live, things will settle themselves out for the most part, he has private opinions, annoyances, and pet peeves about things that occasionally poke through.

Gotta be Garth and Adam this week, fighting like rutting stags over Dusty and Duffy. Very entertaining to read opposing views from two passionate music lovers.
