Adam Blake wrote:Winwood did make a fascinating curiosity in 1973 that would nowadays be considered a "World Music" record...

It was released on CD by Edsel 10 years ago. "Like new" used copies start at $19.99 from http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0000011X0/ref=olp_product_details?ie=UTF8&me=&seller=
There are the usual 30-second sound clips, which I haven't had a chance to try yet.

Interestingly, they took the image from the back of the Lp & put it on the front of the CD:

Both formats also available from:

I would love to try this album. It looks so expensive though! I don't think I could afford it.
As far as Led Zeppelin goes, I really am not a huge fan & never was, of the heavy metal stuff. I liked a couple of songs like Kashmere, and that was about all.
I do still love Robert Plants singing in the that solo album I used to have & in the newest one.

Today on our Classic Rock station, they played a brand new Steve Winwood song called Dirty City, from a new album called Nine Lives and has Eric Clapton playing guitar in it.

This Rock station I listen to is a Cumulous station and still has local people running it, which is nice.
I could give a link to it if anyone's interested.

Dayna, there's more info on Stwve Winwood's new album & tour on his website: http://www.stevewinwood.com
Winwood is touring the USA with Eric Clapton. Tom Petty & the Heartbreakers are the support act. As far as I can see, Cinncinati is the only city in Ohio on the schedule.

Thanks. I heard them say he's coming to this area in June with Tom Petty.

I have liked a few of Fleetwood Mac's songs. I used to have one of their singles called Tusk. I have no idea what it was about, but I loved the different rhythm. I first heard it in the car, on our way to Florida one year, & couldn't get enough of it.

Did anyone else like this or know about this song?

Now I'm hearing the Dark Side of The Moon by Pink Floyd album, on my radio.

They said this was the number one best selling Classic Rock album.

I suppose two posts isn't too many.

After not hearing Kashmir for a long time, having this free download makes it seem fresh. I think how everything fits together sounds great.
